The Architect
WHAT
IS THE SIZE REQUIREMENT FOR THE HOISTWAY?
The inside finished dimensions of the hoistway need
to be a minimum of five (5) feet wide by five (5) feet deep.
HOW
DEEP DOES THE RECESSED PIT NEED TO BE?
The recessed pit must have a minimum depth of one
(1) foot.
WHAT
IS THE LEAD TIME?
Generally four (4) to six (6) weeks.
WHAT
IS THE SUPPORT WALL?
Adequate support for guide rail fastening erected
vertically (continuous from pit to top of hoistway) plumb
within one-quarter inch. We suggest 3"x6"
laminated beams be used. Regional elevator can provide
for an extra charge.
WHAT
ARE THE DIMENSIONS OF THE MACHINE ROOM?
With Regional Elevator's Model 740 residential elevator,
you will not need a machine room. The power unit and
controls are located inside the hoistway, freeing up valuable
space.
WHAT
ARE THE ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS?
A double pole 220 volt motor circuit, 30 amp with
an electrical disconnect at equipment location. A separate
single phase 15 amp lighting circuit to include a neutral
and ground as required at equipment location, as is a telephone
line.
HOW
LONG DOES IT TAKE TO INSTALL AN ELEVATOR?
Installation typically takes one week on site.
However, the electrical work and hoistway doors (complete
with hardware) need to be completed before the elevator can
be finished.
